Current Season: April 26 - May 5, 2019

If you like to get your steps in while enjoying the arts, check out some of these Art Walks in the Pioneer Valley during ArtWeek:

Northampton

A Taste of the Arts is a combination artist talk and local food tour! Enjoy locally sourced food while hearing artists Annette Gates and Tom Kuklinski talk about their methods in ceramics and woodworking.

Amherst

On the other side of the Connecticut River, Amherst’s sidewalks will dress up for ArtWeek with a ChalkWalk and the Art of Rain Poetry. Create some chalk art or watch poetry being placed using bio-degradable paint that reveals itself when wet. Or if architecture is more your interest, join the Architecture Tour to learn about Amherst’s historic and modern buildings.

Belchertown

Just a bit southeast of Amherst, you’ll find the second Annual Belchertown Arts & Culture Walk. This event, which made its debut for ArtWeek 2018, is back! Highlights include poetry on demand, a giant coloring book, and the Art of Fashion Preview from the Stone House Museum.

Springfield

Travel to Springfield to check out Art Stop: Pop-Up Gallery Walk. This event aims to activate underutilized community spaces, and in addition to artist talks and street performances, local restaurants have joined in by offering discounts to attendees.

Palmer

Finally, you can walk around the annual Palmer Artisan’s Festival and enjoy music, crafts, and food. The Artisan’s festival is part of the ongoing revitalization of Three Rivers through the arts, and this year’s festival will feature juggling and fly fishing demos, as well as a community painting project.
