Looking for ways to creatively entertain the whole family during ArtWeek? While most events are all-age friendly, these are especially fun for sharing a love of art with kids!

Book and Canvas at oOps! An Art Experience- Bring your kids to hear a book reading live from a local author and create art based on the themes of the book – Chicopee

Children’s Book Illustrators Demonstrate Their Craft at Falmouth Art Center- All ages can come to learn from and draw with three Cape Cod children’s book illustrators – Falmouth

Dragon Puppets Start to Finish with Hilary Scott at Somerville Open Studios- Create your own dragon puppets, large and small, in this workshop. Unleash your inner creativity with the power of a dragon! – Somerville

Get COOL with the Adams School! at the BYCF Paris Street Community Center- Join students and visual artist Jodi Schmidt to celebrate the artwork they’ve created during Open Door Arts’ year-long COOL Schools arts residency. This event will be sensory friendly and great for all kids! – East Boston


KidLit Creator Series at Franklin Public Library- Join us for a special, first-time visit from author and illustrator Scott Magoon! He will read, draw, and chat with an audience – Franklin 



Make it for Mom! at the Weston Art and Innovation Center- Use the Cricut Maker cutting tool to make a Mother’s Day card for this special person in your family. Sign up as an adult/child team to make it for Mom! – Weston

Once Upon A BookFest… at Arts! Ashland Alliance– Attend this full-day children’s book festival featuring authors, illustrators, and interactive workshops – Ashland

Watercolor Boxes and Bags for Children at Franklin Public Library- In this workshop, kids can learn to create unique watercolor textures that will be transformed into fun and useful gift boxes or bags! – Franklin
