ArtWeek, the award-winning statewide festival, is calling for creative events that are hands-on, interactive or offer behind-the-scenes access to arts, culture, and the creative economy. Presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by the Boch Center, ArtWeek has offered 2,000+ unique experiences to adults and children of all ages and backgrounds since 2013. This year, ArtWeek is being supported by hundreds of Community Partners, Media Sponsors, and Lead Champions: Massachusetts Cultural Council, Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Everyone and anyone can host an ArtWeek event from large organizations to individual artists, and more. It is free, easy, and inspiring to be part of this innovative festival – so join to help us spotlight our Creative Commonwealth by making arts, culture, and creativity affordable and accessible to all!

STEP ONE:

plan events that meet 3 criteria

  1. Takes place during the ten days of ArtWeek (May 1 – 10)
  2. Charges no more than $50 per person (most are free)
  3. Includes a special “ArtWeek twist” that is participatory, interactive, or offers behind-the-scenes access to a creative experience

STEP TWO:

CREATE A PORTAL ACCOUNT

Go to the Event Host Portal, the gateway to ArtWeek for all Event Hosts to create new event application(s), monitor the status of their application(s), and edit event(s).

If you have an account from last year, you can re-use it using that login information.

step three:

submit your application

The ArtWeek Team will review submitted applications on a rolling basis. 

Early Bird Deadline: January 10

Final Deadline: February 21

*Applications received by the Early Bird Deadline receive extra visibility via press outreach, marketing materials, and on the Boch Center marquees!

What does my application status mean?

SAVED: The application is saved to continue working. The ArtWeek Team CANNOT see your work. 

SUBMITTED: You’ve submitted your complete application. The ArtWeek Team will review and email you within two weeks. At this time, your application is LOCKED and you cannot make any edits. 

IN PROGRESS: The ArtWeek Team may have questions, or would like you to update your application. The application is UNLOCKED for you to make those edits and submit to the ArtWeek Team for review. 

APPROVED: Congratulations! You’ve been welcomed to ArtWeek by a team member based on your application. Your application is now LOCKED and you cannot edit it again until prompted by an ArtWeek Team member to review your official calendar page.
