Art Bridge to Culture

During the annual town-wide Needham Open Studios, view the artwork of Naomi Y. Wilsey. This exhibit and sale will focus on Japanese brush painting (sumi-e) and traditional watercolors.
The artist, Naomi Wilsey, will hold a special children’s workshop in Japanese-style art at 1:30, Saturday, May 2 and at 1:30 on Sunday, May 3. The $5 fee covers all materials will be donated to the Needham Art Association Scholarship Fund. For ages 5 – 16, no minimum skill level required and limited to four per group. Also, the artist will demonstration watercolor painting at 1:00 on Saturday, May 2. It will offer a fun and educational experience.
Needham Open Studios, now in its seventeenth year, features more than 45 artists exhibiting and demonstrating their art in 10 locations throughout the town of Needham. These artists work in a variety of media and styles, and each has a unique creative vision. They have exhibited in solo and group shows including juried shows, as well as galleries and museums across the country. The Needham Open Studios self-guided tour offers the opportunity to meet the artists, see how they work, talk with them about their techniques and creative processes, and take home original art. Our studios will be open on Saturday, May 2 from 10:00 until 4:00 and on Sunday, May 3 from noon until 4:00. Come see a world of art from the inside and see how art is made!
