DIY-Salvage,Trash & Treasures

Don’t miss this hands-on DIY workshop where you’ll create your project from salvaged materials at Restoration Resources like chalkboard signs made from salvaged doors, or candle-holders from stair-parts. If you love Pinterest and wish you could tackle painting/repurposing projects, this workshop is for you! Considered masters in the design and re-use of “upcycled” furniture, talented “Furnichicks” Tammy Scofield & Amy Chenette will reveal techniques, tips and tricks in the renovation, restoration and recrafting of unwanted furniture into coveted conversation pieces! Tammy, is the owner of “Furnichicks”, (seen featured on WCVB’s Television show, “Chronicle”) a former old mill now full of shops such as Amy’s showcasing eclectic treasures, many transformed from trash! A 2 time recipient of Boston Magazine’s, “Best of Boston Home, Restoration Resources is regarded as “New England’s Premiere source for Antique Architectural Salvage, Vintage Furnishings, and Unique artifacts”. Complimentary refreshments will be served during the event, which will be held in Circa, the event venue that is also the back showroom of Restoration Resources which doubles as an event venue available for the public and businesses to rent for private functions. The hidden gem is designed with a variety of unique salvaged pieces that include an antique bar, piano, victrola, chandeliers and marble mantels that are all also for sale! Following the presentation, attendees are welcome to explore or simply relax and enjoy refreshments in Circa. Participants are also encouraged to come prepared to discuss any projects and DIY questions, in private one-on-one consultations at the end of the event, so be sure to bring dimensions, photos and any information relevant to your project.
Metered and free on street parking available. Closest t stop is Mass Ave. on the Orange line, or the bus at Dudley station or the Silverline bus which stops on Washington St., just a block from Restoration Resources.
