Create, play, explore and think with your fingers! This session includes a mini-talk in the museum’s Branching Out: Trees as Art exhibition by artist Beth Galston, a studio workshop and a special meet up with Patrick Dougherty who is constructing an outdoor sculpture at Peabody Essex Museum with the help of local volunteers, starting May 7th.

With sculptor Beth Galston, you will transform tree materials — leaves, seedpods and branches — into sculpture. Galston creates immersive environments for interior and exterior spaces. Her site-specific installations use innovative materials, interacting with shadow and light, to explore processes of nature and transformation. Her work is currently featured in Branching Out, on view in the Art & Nature Center at PEM. Free with Museum Admission. Recommended for ages 8 to adult. Limited availability
