First Friday Open Mic & Workshop at Hopkinton Center for the Arts

Join us at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts for our First Friday Open Mic with host and singer-songwrirter Barbara Kessler. Singers, players, songwriters, poets and storytellers of all ages and the general public are invited to attend. Special for ArtWeek, Barbara will lead attendees in a community songwriting/improv exercise at 7:00PM.
Kessler is a former national touring singer-songwriter with five albums and numerous awards and song credits in both television and film. She co-wrote, performed and produced the end credit theme song “Dreaming My Way Home” for the Sony Playstation game Rogue Galaxy and her songs are featured on shows “The Voice,” “All My Children,” “NCIS,” “Jag” and “One Life to Live” among others. In addition to coaching artists of all ages, she also produces and record demos and EPs for other singer-songwriters and bands. Kessler’s latest album “What You Keep” was self-produced and features ten new songs.
Those interested in participating in the songwriting exercise should arrive by 6:30PM. Sign-ups for open mic are at 7:15PM. Open mic will begin at 7:30PM.
