From Vine to Wine: Fabulous Vintage & DIY Event
October 5, 2016 at 6:00 pm–8:30 pm
“Making good wine is a skill; making fine wine is an art” – Robert Mondavi.
This fun-filled evening is a complete VINTAGE experience beginning with wine tastings paired with artisanal cheeses in a truly vintage venue, Circa, which doubles as the back showroom of Restoration Resources in Boston’s historical South End. Meet new friends as you sample a selection of seasonally inspired wines and participate in an interactive journey from vine to wine! The BRIX Chix, owners of BRIX Wine Shops will entertain and educate you as you enjoy a variety of different wines from various regions and vintages. A highlight of the tasting includes a wine made by Gavin Chanin, touted by Forbes as a “winemaking star” and recognized by Food and Wine as “Winemaker of the Year.” Gavin is also an award-winning artist and each of his wines features his artwork on the label! Finally, to top off the evening, guests are invited to participate in an easy DIY project (for an additional fee) making wine bottle stoppers from vintage door knobs salvaged from Beacon Hill brownstones circa 1880’s. Cheers!
