Buy Tickets Discover Furoshiki, the ancient Japanese art of gift-wrapping and accessorizing using versatile and eco-friendly textiles in an exclusive creative workshop, only offered during Artweek Boston, in the unique event venue, Circa at Restoration Resources . Enjoy complimentary refreshments as multi-talented international artist, Nefertiti from Etnia Fusion, takes you on a cultural journey teaching this unique and elegant technique that you can use to wrap gifts as well as apply in your daily life activities. Each participant will get their own square piece of natural fabric and experience firsthand how to wrap items of different sizes and shapes including a book, box, clothing, picture and a bottle of wine. The workshop concludes with each guest wrapping an antique wooden candle holder made from a salvaged repurposed stair spindle from Restoration Resources which everyone gets to take home along with your very own decorative textile sheet. Get a head start for the upcoming holiday season, in this hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to use this ancient craft and add some charm to the way you present gifts, go green grocery shopping or pack for a picnic.
