Greenway Public Art Tour
April 27 at 12:00 pm–1:00 pm
Come learn more about the inspiration and creation of The Greenway’s public art program! We’ll tour four current artworks, starting in Chinatown Park and walking several blocks north. Public art on The Greenway is always changing, with a focus on temporary and contemporary pieces. Don’t miss this chance to learn more about our current art and get a sneak peek of what’s to come!
The tour includes: Risa Puno’s Year of the Dog in Chinatown Park, a curation which celebrates the characteristics of the current Chinese zodiac animal and honors the collective memory and experiences of the Chinatown community. Mia Cross’s We the People II captures the eyes of people who live, work, or pass through the Leather District. Mehdi Ghadyanloo’s Spaces of Hope, a large-scale surrealist mural, and Aakash Nihalani’s Balancing Act, 2D sculptures that simulate 3D interactive experiences.
This tour is free but reservations are required.
