Make Your Own Art at the Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties
October 1, 2016 at 1:00 pm–3:00 pm
On Saturday, October 1st, visitors can not only meet and watch artists who work and sell at their temporary seaside studios along Hyannis Harbor, but make art to take home! Special for ArtWeek, make your own heart stone keychain from stones found on Cape Cod beaches with artist Kyle Kochiss. Val and Dave Small, woodcarvers, have made small hand-carved wooden whale ornaments that visitors can paint. It is always free to browse at the Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties. There is a $5 fee for each special art project, payable to the artist.
The seven colorful artist shanties feature Cape Cod artists. The shanties are open seven days a week through Monday, October 10th, Columbus Day, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Free parking in the Town Hall parking lot, 367 Main Street, Hyannis. It is a five minute walk through Hyannis Village Green along the Walkway-to-the-Sea to Hyannis Harbor. The artist shanties are located at 180 Ocean Street, Bismore Park, Hyannis Harbor.
