Me2/Orchestra Open Rehearsal
September 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm–9:00 pm
Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes in an orchestra rehearsal? Join Me2/ (“me, too”) for an up-close and personal look at our rehearsal process. Meet the musicians, ask questions, and enjoy refreshments with us after the rehearsal.
Me2/ is the world’s only classical music organization created for individuals with mental illnesses and the people who support them. Our conductor, Ronald Braunstein, is living with bipolar disorder. He founded the organization so that he could support others working to maintain good mental health. Me2/’s mission is to give exhilarating performances that encourage dialogue about mental health issues and erase the stigma surrounding mental illnesses.
During this ArtWeek open rehearsal, guests are invited to sit near the players during the rehearsal, providing an intimate look at the conductor, music and instruments. People living with mental illnesses are especially encouraged to attend. Everyone is welcomed and we promise a stigma-free environment.
Free parking is available in the parking lot located across the street from Hope Central Church. The church is also conveniently located just two blocks from the Green Street T station.
