Nancy Schön Gallery Talk
October 4, 2015 at 1:00 pm–2:00 pm
Wenham Museum Gallery Talk and Exhibit!
Nancy Schön is best known for her iconic sculpture “Make Way for Ducklings” in the Boston Public Garden based on Robert McCloskey’s book of the same name. However, she has also created public art inspired by A. A. Milne’s “Winnie the Pooh,” and she most recently installed “Friendship” (a sculpture of a friendly greeting between prairie dogs) in Oklahoma City.
A retrospective of Nancy’s work will be exhibited at the Wenham Museum September 19, 2015-January 3, 2016 entitled “Animal Tales: Sculpture by Nancy Schön.”
On October 4, 2015 at 1 pm visitors can meet Nancy in person and learn about her work. This is a rare opportunity to meet an artist who has created some of the most iconic pieces of public art in America.
