May 4, 2016 at 12:00 pm2:00 pm

Northeastern University’s College of Arts and Design 360 Huntington Avenue Ryder Hall Boston, MA 02115 United States
Free

As part of ArtWeek Boston, Northeastern launches a new Arts Administration graduate program with a public art tour will be led by Bree Edwards, Director of the Northeastern Center for the Arts.

We will meet at noon in from of the Ruggles MBTA station on the Huntington Ave side: 150 Forsyth Street. Please join us for an intimate reception following the tour for a light lunch and beverages.

Launched in 2014, the Northeastern Public Art Initiative creates a stronger sense of place on Northeastern’s dense, urban canvas. Supported by President Joseph E. Aoun’s mandate to turn the “campus into a canvas”, this initiative has commissioned large-scale public artworks from international and Boston-based artists, as well as Northeastern faculty and students. “Art placed in public provides a unique opportunity to trigger ideas and provoke new ways of thinking” says Chair of Art + Design, Nathan Felde. The Public Art Initiative is a very public statement that Northeastern is an incubator of new ideas and creativity.
