CANCELLED – We regret to inform that this event has been cancelled.

The “SALE” project explores declared democracy in consumer society. Do we really have a choice while we consume? The project looks like a grocery tent put in a public space. Video works will be presented like goods in a supermarket. Visitors can choose a video to show by reading a text about it. To help visitors make their choice, videos are divided into four categories: funny, scary, boring and complicated. More than 30 artists from the UK, USA, Russia, Estonia, Poland, Germany, The Netherlands, Brazil, Spain, Norway, Finland, India and Tanzania are participating in this project. Visitors will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the artists online during the screening time.

Outside of the screening, the project involves communication with people about how they make their choices; discussions about the nature of art and it’s appearance as a “goods”. “SALE” provides to visitors the possibility to ask questions to the artists online through the screening time.
