Slow down, kindle your creativity, and activate your senses in this small-group experience in the Gardner Museum’s galleries and gardens. Incorporating movement, wordplay, and art-making, this exclusive ArtWeek program is presented in connection with the groundbreaking new exhibition, Listen Hear: The Art of Sound. After the program, participants are invited to learn about sound art in a “Listening Session” presented by Ernst Karel, a featured artist in the exhibition.
Led by Jessie Smith, Gardner Museum Director of Public Programs, this is a participatory, social, small-group workshop. Participants will cultivate personal connections with works of art in a creative, multi-sensory format.
Listening Session begins at 3:30pm. Includes admission to the Gardner Museum and a ticket to the Listening Session program. Availability is limited, so participants must register in advance. This program is designed for participants ages 12 and up.
