Wednesday Night Yoga Jam with Hannah Christianson
May 3, 2017 at 6:00 pm–7:15 pm
With extensive studies in music therapy, songwriting, and as a certified yoga teacher, Hannah blends her experience and knowledge with her intuitive musicianship and creativity to bring worlds of emotion and color, through sound, to life. She weaves her own personal journey of self-healing into the music she creates, as she also tunes into the environment around her and what others might be feeling, bridging it all together into the expressions she shares. Hannah is currently exploring new avenues for sharing music more interactively for self-transformation–particularly through workshops and yoga classes, combining music with meditation and movement, and performing at house concerts, art galleries, and other intimate, listening venues. Hannah sings and plays several instruments, including piano, guitar, ukulele, native american drums, Native american flutes, and Tibetan Singing Bowls.
About Alana Brennan: “For over a decade, regardless of where I have been in the world, my yoga practice has not only given me the tools to adapt to new environments, but it has also been a direct and often immediate connection to a community that shares the same morals and values as me. Students have described my classes, whether vinyasa or Forrest, as challenging and fun! I do my best to create an environment that plays by the yogic rules of mindful breathing, alignment and non-harming to the body that allows my students to shift not only physically but mentally at their own pace.”
