Buy Tickets Here What is a puppet? A marionette or a muppet? A puppet is anything at all, really, with a little imagination and a little bit of practice to bring it to life. Join Boston Center for the Arts Performing Arts Resident Liars & Believers for their matinee performance of “Yellow Bird Chase” and then learn how you can turn hands, socks, sticks, mops, hats, buckets—anything you want—into a character with a mind of its own.

This free 20-minute workshop is designed for children and immediately follows matinee performances of “Yellow Bird Chase”. Performances are accessible to deaf and hard of hearing audiences, using innovative physicality and captioning throughout.

Tickets are for “Yellow Bird Chase”, and admission to the puppetry workshop is included. Performances start at 2:00 pm and the puppetry workshops begin at 3:15 pm. Ticket prices are: $25, General Admission; $15, Students; $10, Children 12 and under.

About “Yellow Bird Chase”: A clownish maintenance crew finds a magical yellow bird, and a mad chase begins. Racing over land, across the sea, and through the air—battling pirates, monsters and terrible pop songs—how far will our heroes go? Jump into a world of imagination and magic, where birds are saved, sea creatures get indigestion, and everyday folks find friendship and love. Join Liars & Believers on an adventure of masks, puppets, live music and gibberish.
