Liquid acrylic

Abstract painting was a common thread running through all the art of the 20th century, when prominent artists sought to move away from realistic subject painting and plunge into the fantastical world of abstraction. This kind of immersion into abstract art awaits you at the master class on liquid acrylic.

Fluid art is a new kind of abstract painting, the essence of which consists in pouring acrylic paints on canvas, where colors are mixed together and with the addition of glue, medium and other substances create picturesque effects.

Fluid art paint spreads out on the canvas, creating patterns that wait for the author to recognize and interpret them in their own way, making the necessary strokes to complete the composition.

Fluid art paintings are abstract and fit perfectly into modern interiors. Fluid art paintings can be painted by a person who has never tried painting before.

At our Fluid Art workshops we paint with acrylics for beginners. To take part in the master class absolutely it is not necessary to have experience in drawing. It is enough to have a desire to draw and we will tell you how to draw a picture with acrylic paints.

For fluidart paintings we use acrylic not in tubes, but in jars. The fact is that acrylic paint in tubes is great for painting classic subject paintings, but for liquid acrylic is not convenient. But acrylic paints in cans are ideal for creating fluid art. From the can paint is convenient to pour into a cup, where acrylic is diluted with water, glue and medium.

What do I need to know to paint with liquid acrylic?
The most important thing to know for painting with liquid acrylics is that you can’t apply all possible techniques on a single Fluidart painting. Ideally, one fluid acrylic painting is one or two techniques for mixing paints and distributing paint on the canvas. If you don’t follow this rule, the result can be very blurry.

How to use acrylic paints correctly?
Acrylics, though water-soluble, but very badly washed off from clothes and surfaces. Therefore, we give each participant of the master class on liquid acrylic an apron and gloves for creating fluid art paintings. And also we recommend not to dress smartly, preferably not in white clothes. Drawing with liquid acrylic or any other painting always implies the possibility of getting your clothes dirty with paint.
